Farmers Only: A fairly unspectacular night down on the farm

Alfredo Simon got the start in a rehab stint for Louisville, but, you know... fuck that guy. I hate to put that in the lede but I have no interest in Alfredo Simon, and I don’t think you do either.

AJ “Phillip” Morris I do care about, mildly, and he went 1 inning, allowing 2 hits, 1 earned and 1 walk. Daniel “So” Wright “It has to be Wrong” allowed 6 hits but only 1 run and 1 walk with 2 strike outs in 4.2 innings. Wandy “Not Rodriguez thank goodness” Peralta allowed only a hit in 1.1 innings of work.

Beau “Jackson” Amaral collected 3 hits in this one, though somehow batted no one in nor scored a run himself... Jose Peraza had an RBI on a hit and a walk, while Uncle Jesse Winker had a hit, a walk, and a run scored just like Joey taught him.

Dunedin Blue Jays 4, Daytona Tortugas 5

“Jonathan Crawford”, if that’s even his real name, got the start for the Baby Turtles. He wasn’t great, giving up 5 hits, 4 run (3 earned), walking 2 and striking out 1. Not bad for someone who doesn’t actually exist, when you really think about it. “The Shelby Sensation” Alex Powers went 1.2 innings, allowing only 1 hit and 1 walk, striking out 1. Ariel “Merman” Hernandez struck out 3 in a flawless 2 innings to lock down the save.

Balakay Blake Trahan did some work in this 7 inning game, smacking 2 doubles for 2 RBIs and scoring 2 runs. Shedrick “Don” Long had 2 hits and an RBI, while Brian “Beef” O’Grady walked twice.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Daytona Tortugas 2

Michael Sullivan(?) is a person whose name I don’t recognize, but he got the start for the Torgs in Game 2. He wasn’t good, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, walking 2 while striking out 4 in 3 innings pitched. Nolan “John” Becker went 2 innings, allowing only a hit and striking out 1. Juan Martinez gave up 2 more runs and walked 1 in 1 bad inning, while Brennan “Sarnt” Bernardino gave up a run and 2 hits in 1 inning of work.

The Tortugas offense did a whole bunch of nothing. Seriously there’s nothing here to really tell you about. Gavin LaValley had an RBI I guess?

Ian Kahaloa went 5 full for the ‘Stangs, allowing only a single run on 4 hits and 2 walks, striking out 4. Alfredo “Not Simon” Mena, Jake “Jack” Johnson, Aaron Quillen, and Soid Marquez all pitched one inning a piece, allowed a hit and nothing else.

TJ Friedl had another hit (only 1, he lowered his AVG to .500) and scored a run. Jose “iPhone” Siri smacked a 2 run dinger, Taylor Trammell doubled and walked, while Gabriel Ovalle turned in a 3 hit, 2 RBI night as part of the win.

The Baby Reds and Baby Brewers game was suspended in the 2nd inning due to lightning and storms and bad weather.
