The pitching was on point for Louisville last night, as they shut out the Charlotte Knights, 4-0. John "Mary had a little" Lamb got the start and was solid once again, throwing 6 innings while giving up 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3. Seth Mejias-Brean "Burrito" was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, Scott "Schedular" Schebler was 1 for 3 with a walk, run scored, and 1 RBI, and Jermaine Curtis and Chris Berset "Hound" were each 2 for 3 with a run scored. Drew Hayes struck out 2 in his scoreless inning of relief.
Louisville is off tonight.
Pensacola 3, Montgomery 1
Pitching was also on the good side for the Blue Wahoos on Wednesday in a 3-1 victory over Montgomery. Rookie "Edinson Volquez" Davis got the start and was solid once again, going 5.1 innings and giving up 1 run on 5 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. He has now struck out 24 batters over his last 4 starts. "Uncle" Phillip Ervin was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI, Zack Vincej was 1 for 4 with a RBI triple, and Eric "Deuce Bigelow Male" Jagielo was 1 for 3 with a walk and a double. Chad "Walla Walla" Wallach also had a double and scored a run in his 1 for 4 night. Alejandro "Don't call my name" Chacin got the save by striking out 1 in a scoreless inning of relief.

Daytona 2, Clearwater 0
The pitching was strong once again for the farm, as Daytona shut out Clearwater 2-0. Tejay "T.J." Antone got the start and was good, going 6 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits while walking 3 and striking out 7. Angelo "Bleeding" Gumbs had the big hit of the night for the Tortugas with a 2-RBI single in the 3rd inning as a part of his 1 for 4 night. Blake Trahan was 1 for 4 and scored a run, Chad "Build a Wall" Tromp was 1 for 3 and scored the other run, Aristides "Heiress Titties" Aquino was 1 for 3, and Gavin "As I walk through" LaValley was also 1 for 3. Jimmy Herget got the save and struck out all 4 batters that he faced in his 1.1 innings of work.

The wins just kept on rolling in last night as Dayton defeated Great Lakes 7-5. Ty "Bustin'" Boyles got the start and gave up 4 runs on 9 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts over 5 innings of work. Nick "Senzinnati" Senzel was 2 for 3 with a triple, 2 runs scored and an apparent monster of a 2-run dinger. Brantley "Ring my" Bell was 1 for 4 with a triple and scored a run, James Vasquez was 3 for 4 and had a double, RBI, and scored a run, Chris "Annie are you" Okey was 1 for 4 with a 2-run dinger, and Zack "Agent of" Shields was 2 for 4 with a triple and 1 RBI. Sarkis Ohanian struck out 1 and got the save in a scoreless inning of relief.

"If the rest of the organization jumped off a bridge, would you do it, too?" The answer to this question is apparently yes for Billings, at least when it comes to winning games on July 27. Scott "Randy" Moss got the start and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits in 3 innings of work while walking 1 and striking out 3. Taylor Trammell was 2 for 5 with a run scored and 1 RBI, Hector Vargas was 2 for 4 with a 3-run bomb, "Butch" Cassidy Brown was 2 for 4 with a run scored, "Remember the" Alejo Lopez was 3 for 4 and scored a run, and Satchel "It's not a purse" McElroy was 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI.
