Louisville 6, Charlotte 2

Homer Bailey made his final rehab appearance last night and Louisville took home the 6-2 victory. Bailey threw 98 pitches in his start, lasting 4.1 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits while walking 4 and striking out 4. Jason Linden of Redleg Nation was live tweeting at the game and said that Homer was solid other than being a little wild. He was also hitting 95 on his last pitch, which is great to hear. I imagine that we will see him pitching in San Diego later this week.

Scott “Cocoa Schebbles” Schebler did what he does and went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored, Jermaine “Lee” Curtis continued to mash the ball and went 2 for 5 with his 9th dinger of the season and scored 2 runs, Chris Berset was 2 for 4 with his first dinger of the season, which was of the 2-run variety, and Carlos Triunfel was 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Daniel “He’s doin’ it” Wright pitched the rest of the 4.2 innings in relief, giving up no runs on 3 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Tim Adleman starts tonight at 7:05 PM ET.

Pensacola was off last night. Tyler Mahle starts tonight at 7:05 PM CT.

Daytona was also off last night. Mystery Pitcher starts tonight at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton 0, Cedar Rapids 2

The offense disappeared again for Dayton, as they lost 2-0 to Cedar Rapids. Jacob “Istanbul” Constante got the start and was decent, giving up only 2 earned runs on 4 hits while walking 2 and striking out 2. Nick “Senzational” Senzel went 1 for 4 and Chris “Annie are you” Okey went 1 for 3 for the only Dayton hits on the night. Sandy “Julio” Lugo struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings and Jesus “Take the Wheel” Reyes struck out 1 in his scoreless inning.

Dayton is off tonight.

Billings 5, Orem 6

Billings blew a 2-run lead in the 9th, and then lost it in the 10th in a 6-5 defeat to Orem. Antonio Santillan got the start and, other than the 4th where he gave up 2 singles and a 3-run bomb, he was solid once again. His final line was 6 IP, 3 hits, 3 ER, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Alberti Chavez was 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored, Montrell Marshall, and Colby Wright were each 2 for 4 and scored a run, and Ty Blankmeyer was 3 for 5 with 1 RBI and a run scored.

Andrew Jordan starts tonight at 7:05 PM MT.

AZL Reds 0, AZL Angels 8

This game was bad and should feel bad. The Baby Reds only collected two hits on the night, by Pabel Manzanero, who went 1 for 3, and Daniel Jiminez, who was 1 for 2 with a walk. Gregory “Not Jonathan” Reinoso got the start and was solid, going 4 innings and giving up 1 unearned run on 4 hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. It was the rest of the pitching that was forgettable, giving up 7 combined runs in the 5th and 6th innings.

The Baby Reds take on the Baby Indians tonight at 7:05 PM MST.
