Tonight at 8:00pm EDT, Adam Duvall will attempt to mash more dingers than all of the other dinger-mashers in the field, and, if he does so, will net the Reds back-to-back champions in the MLB Home Derby.
As you may recall last year, former Reds 3B Todd Frazier out-dingered all of the other contestants to claim the prize, and it all happened right here in the Queen City. Duvall won't be the crowd favorite like Frazier was (and is likely the least known of all the contestants), but a couple of big shots could turn that around.
I guess you could say this time around, the Reds representee is the likely underdog, if you're measuring that based on name recognition. But, as they say, "that's why the play the game."
But seriously, don't say that.
As an added bonus, we just might be able to see the current Red and former Red face off in the second round, should each hold up their end of the bargain in the first.
So sit back, relax, crack yourself a cold beverage and follow along with all of the coverage right here at Red Reporter.
