Louisville 0, Toledo 11

Louisville's pitching was cruising last night, until the Mud Hens put up an 11(!) spot on the Bats in the 9th inning to win 11-0. Keyvius "Swim? Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swanson?" Sampson wasn't way off last night. In fact, he was fantastic. He threw 7 shutout innings on 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 12. "Uncle" Jesse Winker was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, Jose "Pizza" Peraza was 1 for 4 with a triple, and Scott "Mr. Schneebly" Schebler was 1 for 2 with a walk. That's about it for the offense. I won't talk about the bullpen because it was bad and should feel bad.

Cody Reed faces off against Rochester tonight at 7:05 PM ET.

Pensacola 4, Mobile 1

Brandon "HaHa Clinton" Dixon continued his smokin' hot streak by blasting the 5th dinger in his last 4 games, part of a 2 for 3, 2 ribbie evening. That helped back the return to the mound of Rookie "Master" Davis, who allowed just a single earned run in his 4 IP on the bump. Phil "Connors" Ervin swatted a pair of singles and stole his 20th bag of the season, Eric "Flair" Jagielo dingered to help raise his average to .184 (blinks twice), and Barrett "Grin" Astin picked up where Davis left off by tossing 3 scoreless innings of his own.

Nick Travieso will throw rocks for the Blue Wahoos on Friday, with first pitch against Mobile set for 8:05 PM ET.

Daytona Tortugas

Daytona was off last night. Tejay Antone takes the mound tonight against Fort Meyers at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton 1, Lansing 5

It was another night of a barely existent offense for the Dragons, as they fell to Lansing 5-1 on Thursday. Jacob Constante pitched 5 innings and gave up 6 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), walked 2 and struck out 3. Zack "Agents of" Shields was 1 for 4 with the only RBI for Dayton. Kevin Garcia was 1 for 4 with a double and Shane "In The Membrane" Mardirosian was 1 for 4 and scored the only run. Ariel Hernandez continued his solid season out of the 'pen, striking out 2 in 2 scoreless innings. His season ERA is down to 1.80. Good for him.

Jose Lopez faces off against Fort Wayne tonight at 7:05 PM ET.
