Back home at GABP, and a relatively easier task in the Padres.
John Lamb gets the ball for Cincinnati, who's coming off of two decent but uninspiring starts. He'll have to step his game up if he wants to stay in this rotation for the rest of the year. He threw over 100 pitches in his last start, and only made it through 5 1/3 innings. He'll have a reinforced bullpen to work with, but the Reds still need more innings out of John Lamb.
On the other side will be Christian Friedrich, making his 8th start of the year. Friedrich has been a bright spot in the Pads rotation, with a 3.15 ERA right now, and was even better before his last start.
Go Reds!
