Louisville 3, Buffalo 6
Louisville was unable to overcome an early deficit and fell to Buffalo 6-3 on Tuesday. Robert “Bob Steve” Stephenson got the start and was not good. He only lasted 4 innings, giving up 6 earned runs on 4 hits with 4 walks and only 2 strikeouts. Most of the damage was done via the long ball, as Stephenson gave up home runs of the 2-run and the 3-run variety. Scott “Mr. Schneebly” Schebler continued his torrid stretch, going 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Jermaine “Dupree” Curtis was 1 for 3 with 2 walks and 2 RBI, Chris Berset was 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored, and Seth Mejias-Brean “Burrito” was 1 for 4 with a run scored of his own. Nick Routt “44” pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief out of the bullpen.

Pensacola was off tonight, but “Uncle” Phillip Ervin was 1 for 2 with a grand slam dinger with an MVP trophy to his name, Brandon Dixson was 1 for 4 with a run scored and 1 RBI, “Double” Barrett Astin got the win in a scoreless inning, and Alejandro “Jhoulys” Chacin pitched 0.2 scoreless in relief in the Southern League All-Star Game.
Daytona 3, Tampa 4
Daytona gave up a run in the 9th that would end up making the difference as they fell 4-3 to Tampa. Keury Mella “Mella Mella Eh Eh Eh” had a rough 1st inning, in which he gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He would settle down to give up only 2 hits over the next 5 innings. He also finished with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. “College Park” Taylor Sparks knocked the cover off the ball last night, going 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and 1 RBI. Gavin “The Lily of” LaValley was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and scored a run and Jonathan Reynoso added 2 hits of his own in a 2 for 4 night. Jimmy “Get a Brain” Moran pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
Dayton was off tonight. The Midwest League All-Star Game was played but the box score link took me here so I don’t know how our guys did.
Billings 4, Helena 10
The bullpen got the brakes beat off of them, and Billings lost 10-4 on Tuesday. Jordan “Gordon” Ramsey got the start for Billings and was solid, going 4.1 innings giving up 1 earned run on 5 hits, no walks, and 1 strikeout. Nick Senzel “Washington” was 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored, Mitch “Not Trees” Piatnik was 2 for 3 and scored a run, and Colby Wright was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI. The bullpen was bad in this one and should feel bad.
