So, I’m gonna toot the horn of Mr. Tyler Mahle a bit tonight, but that doesn't mean we’re gonna ignore the other kick ass pitchers we have in the minors. Probably, the top pitching prospect in the farm system right now is Cody Reed. He’s had a couple bumps in the road, but has been stellar for most of the season. Monday night, Reed pitched 6 innings of 1 run baseball. He allowed 3 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 5. Michael “Stretch” Lorenzen, Chad “Shark Bait" Rogers, and Wandy Peralta all pitched a scoreless inning. Lorenzen and Rogers logged a strikeout in their inning, Peralta didn't. Jose “Pizza” Peraza was 2 for 3 with a run scored and a walk. Scott “Bubbler" Schebler was 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored, a triple, 3 RBI, and 2 walks. That’s a mouthful.
Mystery Pitcher is on the mound at 7:05 PM EST.

Rookie “Of The Year” Davis is still keeping that low ERA, but his lines aren't looking incredibly impressive. Davis pitched 5 innings and gave up 1 run while it wasn’t earned. He allowed 2 hits, 4 walks, and struck out 3. Carlos “Mile High" Gonzalez is the only bullpen arm to not give up a run. He pitched 1.1 innings with a strikeout. All four runs were scored via the dinger, including a 2-run walk off shot to seal the deal. Alex “Hambino” Blandino hit his in the 7th inning, and Kyle “Gritworth” Skipworth hit the walk off in the 9th. Skipworth also sported a 2 for 4 line with 2 runs scored.
Nick Travieso will take the bump tonight at 6:30 PM CT

This is the meat and potatoes of the FO is coming in. You’ve heard a lot of good things about Tyler Mahle. He was a high school draft pick out of the 2013 draft, and all he has done since being drafted is been one of the best prospects in the Cincinnati farm system. Last night, Tyler “Darth” Mahle did a thing. He completed a thing. A thing we don't talk about until a thing is done. If you’re not picking up what I'm putting down, Tyler Mahle pitched a no hitter. It would have been a perfect game, but Mahle did hit a batter. Mahle pitched 9 inning of super, awesome, perfect baseball. He struck out 6 batters. On the season he has pitched 79.1 inning with a 2.50 ERA. He has given up 17 walks and struck out 76 for a 4.47 BB/K ratio. That’s pretty awesome. This also means we don't have to talk about the bullpen, which we all know we love. Aristides “Horseshit” Aquino was 2 for 4 with a 2 run dinger and 2 runs scored. Blake “Mayhem” Trahan and Angelo “Numb" Gumbs both had multi-hit games.
Keury Mella pitches tonight at 6:30 PM EST.

Gross. Losing is gross. Jacob “Constantinople” Constante pitched better than I feel he has been. He completed 6 innings while allowing 4 earned runs, 9 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts. He also gave up a homer. The two relievers that entered the game, but they both gave up a run so I'm not giving up their names. Zack “Agents Of” Shields was 2 for 3 with a run scored and a walk. Argenis “Mask Of” Aldazoro was 2 for 4.
Jose Lopez pitches tonight at 7:00 PM EST.
