Jackson "Mississippi" Stephens had his good stuff on Thursday night when he stymied the Shuckers for 6 innings. Stephens only allowed a run, but it wasn't earned, with 3 hits, 0 walks, and 5 strikeouts. Matt "MaGoo" Magill continued with his comeback by striking out 3 in 2 scoreless innings, and Wandy Peralta struck out the side in the 9th. Alex "The Great" Blandino finally his keister in gear with a 3 for 4 night. Blandino smoked a solo dinger in the 5th and also hit a double with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Eric "Juggs" Jagielo hit a grand salami.
Pensacola plays tonight with Rookie Davis on the moud at 6:30 PM CT.
Daytona 3, Dunedin 5
Tyler "Poppin'" Mahle had his first not so good start of the season. Mahle went 6 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, and 5 K. He also gave up a dinger. Ismael "Call Me" Guillon and Greg Williams both pitched clean frames. Guillon struck out 2, and Williams struck out 1. Jonathan "Heynoso" Reynoso was 2 for 4 and Jimmy "Slim" Pickens was 1 for 3 with a walk.

Dayton 1, Peoria 4
Jose Lopez took the mound for the Dragons and a decent night (5.1 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K). Wendolyn Bautista would also pitch 2.2 innings of relief ball and give up only 1 run, 2 hits, 1 walk, and strike out 2. The Dragons are pretty bad, and that extended to their hitting tonight. They would scatter around 4 hits. Shed "Formerly Known as Shedric" Long hit a double and walked, and Mitch "Fallen" Trees had two walks.
