Chase Anderson vs. Alfredo Simon

Woah, It's a series that our Redlegs might actually be favorited in at least once. This is a step in the right direction.

The Reds, losers of 8 of their last 10, sit one game back in the loss column from the Brew Crew, who've most recently had a little success against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Reds will face right-hander Chase Anderson, who's been roughed up a bit this season after the Brewers traded Jean Segura in the offseason to acquire his services. He held Houston and St. Louis scoreless (though never made it out of the 6th inning of either ball game), before spanked for 11 hits and four earned against the Twins. In all, he's given up 15 earned runs and walked eight over his last 13.1 innings covering three starts against the Twins, Phillies, and Marlins. Ouch.

The Reds will hand the ball over to Alfredo Simon, who's been fairly craptacular himself this year, but seemed to settle in a bit in his last start... allowing only three earned in four innings. That outing lowered his ERA to... 13.50 for the season. Well shit.
