The Bats were shut out of this one. Josh "Boring Name" Smith's good run came to an end, going only 5 innings pitched with 8 hits and 5 earned with 6 strikeouts and 3 walks. Tim "Herman" Melville appeared in relief and didn't have a whale of a game, allowing 2 earned runs. A. J. "Phillip" Morris pitched an inning allowing 2 hits. Stephen "General Jackson" Johnson gave up 2 hits and an earned run in his inning, while Jumbo came up big in his inning of work, fanning 2 with a walk and a hit. Uncle Jesse Winker managed a hit and 2 walks, Steve "Too" Selsky "For His Bat" hit 2, including a double, but that Bats' bats went silent.

Daytona Tortugas 7, Lakeland Flying Tigers 4
Tejay Antone got the start for Daytona and managed 6 IP with 4 R (only 2 ER), with 4 strikeouts and 0 walks. Jimmy Herget pitched 3 scoreless innings with nothing earned, no walks and 5 strikeouts. Aristides "Heiress Titties" Aquino continued his hot streak, fresh off being named FSL Player of the Week. He mashed his 5th home run of the year and acquired 3 hits, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Blake Trahan chipped in with 2 hits and Blake "Blame It On The" Butler mashed a dinger of his own, good for 2 RBI.

Dayton Dragons 2, Burlington Bees 3
Austin "City Limits" Orewiler took the mound for Dayton and was fine enough, going 4.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R (1 ER), striking out and walking none. Connor "Sour" Krauss pitched 2 innings allowing a hit, run, and walk, while striking out 1. "The Little Mermaid" Ariel Hernandez finished the final 1.2 IP, striking out 2 and walking 2 while not allowing a run. The Dragons bats failed them, however. Hector Vargas managed 2 hits while Shed "Don" Long managed the only RBI of the night.
