Farmers Only: Amir Garrett Throws Darts

Louisville walks off and Pensacola keeps on winning.

Louisville Bats 1, Norfolk Tides 0

Louisville had some walk-off heroics against the Norfolk Tides on Monday night. Keyvius "Hey There, Delilah" Sampson, Layne "He Actually Pitched!" Somsen, Chad "Kenny" Rogers, and Dayan "Jumbito" Diaz were fantastic tonight, having to fill in the gap of the previously scratched John Lamb. They all deserved a shout-out, combining for 3 hits, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts. Kyle "NASCAR" Waldrop was the hero Monday night, as he Waldropped a walk-off dinger in the 9th inning as a part of his 2 for 4 night. Jose Peraza was 1 for 4 with a double, and Jesse Winker was 1 for 3 with a walk.

Josh Smith gets the start tonight at 7:05 PM ET.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 6, Birmingham Barons 3

Pensacola continued their winning ways, defeating the Birmingham Barons 6-3 on Monday afternoon. Amir "Ball is Life" Garrett was solid, pitching 5.0 innings, giving up 3 hits, 2 runs (1 ER), while walking 2 and striking out 7. Beau Amaral "Ackbar" was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI, Phil "Phlervin" Ervin was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI and 2 walks, and "Do the" Calten Daal was 2 for 4 with a run scored. Matt "He's Alive!" Magill and "No, not that" Carlos Gonzalez each struck out two batters in scoreless innings of work.

Pensacola has the day off today.

Daytona Tortugas 2, Lakeland Flying Tigers 3

Daytona was unable to muster much of anything at the plate, falling 3-2 to Lakeland last night. Seth Varner pitched 4.0 innings, giving up 4 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), walked 2, and struck out 5. Aristides "Heiress Titties" Aquino and Taylor "Bubba" Sparks had identical 1 for 4, 1 RBI lines. Jeff Gelalich had the other hit for the Tortugas. The bullpen gave up a lot of hits, but managed to only give up 1 run in 5 innings. Nick ":(" Howard was back to doing Nick Howard things with 2 hits in .1 IP. Jacob "Ehret" Ehret gave up 2 hits and struck out 1 in 1.1 IP.

TBD gets the start against Lakeland at 6:00 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 0, Burlington Bees 6

Dayton struggled again at the plate, getting shut out by the Burlington Beads Bees on Monday night. Jake "Banana Pancakes" Johnson went 4 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 earned runs while walking 3 and striking out 4. The Dragons would only get 3 guys on base on Monday, with Hector Vargas providing the only extra base hit, going 1 for 3 with a double.
