Farmers Only: Keyvius doesn't need to talk to Sampson, spins a gem for Louisville

Louisville Bats 4, Toledo Mud Hens 1, Game Uno

The Bats and Hens decided it was a nice day to play two, as they planned to make up a game that was rained out early in April. In the first affair, the Hens got the best of Robert "rob" Stephenson. Stephenson pitched all 6 innings, allowed 7 hits and 4 runs, to go along with a bit worrisome 5 walks. The Bats offense couldn't give him any support, too, as Hernan "The Barbarian" Iribarren managed the only RBI on his one hit (to go along with a walk). Seth Mejias "Green" Brean" Casserole doubled and scored that run, while Steve "Too" Selsky walked twice and Uncle Jesse Winker once.

Up Next: Well why don't you read about it right here!

Louisville Bats 3, Toledo Mud Hens 0, Game Dos

Keyvius didn't need to talk to Sampson, as he got the start in the second game and pitched a gem. Sampson went 6 full in this one, fresh off pitching an inning on Friday. In his 6 IP, Sampson allowed just 2 hits and not a thing else, striking out 6. Jumbo Diaz locked down the save, striking out the side in his 1 IP. The Bats totaled 13 hits in the second game, led by Carlos Triunfel's 3 hit game. Jose Peraza and Jesse Winker pitched in with 2 hits and 1 RBI, while Jermaine "O'Neal" Curtis batted a run in himself. Really, everyone pitched in for the Bats offense... except for new Bat Scott Schebler, who was 0-4. Dang.

Up Next: TBD will slice eyeballs for the Bats at 6:35 EDT.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3, Chattanooga Lookouts 12

Sal "Everybody Loves" Romano got worked in this one, going only 3 IP, allowing 9 hits, 7 R, 6 ER, with 4 strikeouts. Nick "This Was A" Routt limited the damage, working 3 of his own innings allowing only 2 hits and striking out 4. Kyle McMyne allowed 3 earned in his one inning, so, I dunno, make your own joke. Wandy Peralta was no better, allowing 2 more runs in 1 inning.

Alex "The Great" Blandino and Donald Lutz hit doubles, Kyle Parker hit a double and drove in a run and Brandon Dixon walked in a run for all of the notable Wahoo scoring of the night. Yuck.

Up Next: "General" Jackson Stephens will go against Chattanooga at 7:15pm EDT.

Brevard County Manatees 8, Daytona Tortugas 3

It was all arms on deck for Daytona Monday night. "They Call Him" Ismael Guillon got the start and allowed 3 ER, 2 H, and 2 BB on 3 IP, which gave way to Alex "The Bulletproof Tiger" Powers's 2 IP, 3 H, and 1 ER (3 R). El'Hajj Muhammad was called on for 1.2 IP and allowed 3 hits and an earned run, while Brennan Bernardino wasn't so shark bit in his 1.1 IP, allowing just a hit on 3 Ks. Nick Howard walked 2 and gave up an earned run in his 0.2 innings, while Evan Mitchell "Is Batman" finished up with 0.1 IP, allowing only a hit.

Whew.

Ty "Leonard" Washington collected 2 hits, including a triple, and 2 runs scored in this one, while Brian "Beef" O'Grady smacked a dinger. Blake Trahan hit a double and walked, but otherwise, the Dragonas were held in check.

Up Next: Tyler will pop some Mahle against Brevard at 6:35pm EDT.

South Bend Cubs nil, Dayton Dragons nil

This game was rained out.

Up Next: Austin Orewiler will throw in game 1, in what should be a doubleheader tomorrow evening.
