Baseball is back today, holding three tune up games before the real Opening Day begins tomorrow at 4pm.
At 1;05pm, Adam Wainwright and Francisco Liriano face off at PNC to get the NL Central slate underway. The Pirates will probably throw at Randal Grichuk's head because of something that he said in July last year and Clint Hurdle will turn purple while somehow the Cardinals will come across as above it all and it will just be the worst.
Yeah I'm probably not going to watch that one.
At 4:05pm, the Blue Jays and Rays will kick off the American League schedule from the Trop in Tampa. Two of the more promising young pitchers in the American League, Marcus Stroman and Chris Archer, will be tossing hot fire for their teams.
Tonight at 8:30pm, the league will stage a rematch of the 2015 World Series. The defending champs will kick off their season against the team they vanquished in five games, the last one being the last one each played. Front runner 2016 Rookie of the Year Edinson Volquez will take on Matt Harvey.
Enjoy the first several real games today. The real madness starts tomorrow. In Cincinnati. As it should.
