Farmers Only: Louisville's Bats

Jesse Winker and Jose Peraza continue their hot hitting for Louisville.

Louisville Bats 8, Durham Bulls 3

Louisville exploded for a 5-run 8th inning, downing the Bulls 8-3. "Hip Hip" Jose Peraza was the star of this one, going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI, and honked his first dinger of the season. "Uncle" Jesse Winker also collected 3 hits, going 3 for 4 with a double and a walk. Jermaine "Dupree" Curtis also continued his hot start, going 1 for 5 with an RBI. Josh "Boring Name" Smith was solid yet again, pitching 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits wile walking 1 and striking out 5. Jumbo Diaz came on in the 9th and pitched a scoreless inning of relief with 1 strikeout.

It's a match-up of top pitching prospects tomorrow, as Robert Stephenson faces off against Blake Snell at 7:05 PM ET.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 0, Birmingham Barons 4

The Blue Wahoos had a tough time getting things going against Birmingham, falling 4-0. Sal "Pecorino" Romano got the start, going 6 innings, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits while striking out 7 and walking 2. Tony Renda was 2 for 4 with a triple on the night and Alex "The Great" Blandino was 1 for 4, and those were the only hits the Wahoos would muster on the evening. Wandy Peralta and Barrett Astin "Martin" both pitched scoreless innings in relief.

TBD will will face off against the Barons tonight at 7:05 PM CT.

Daytona Tortugas 2, Clearwater Threshers 5

A 4-run 6th inning doomed Daytona, who fell 5-2 to Clearwater yesterday. "His name was" Jake Paulsen went 5.1 innings, giving up 5 ER on 5 hits while walking 1 and striking out 7. "College Park" Taylor Sparks was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, Aristides "Heiress Titties" Aquino was 1 for 3, and Jeff Gelalich was 1 for 3 with the other RBI for the Tortugas. "Rocket" Ismael Guillon, Seth Varner, and Brennan Bernardino combined for 3.2 scoreless innings of relief.

TBD gets the start tonight against TBD of Dunedin at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 0, Kane County Cougars 2

The Dragons were only able to come up with one hit tonight against Kane County in a 2-0 loss. We'll go ahead and get the offense out of the way first. Mitch "The Giving" Trees got the only hit tonight. Pitching for the Dragons was solid last night. Austin "Brock" Orewiler went 4 innings and only gave up one hit, while walking 1 and striking out 1.  The defense would let down Connor Krauss, as he gave up 2 runs, both unearned, on 2 hits while striking out 3.
