Tim "Able" Adleman got the ball in this one and tossed a heckuva ball game, going 7 innings allowing only 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7 Tides. Tim "Herman" Melville made his debut in relief at Louisville, tossing a scoreless frame. Dayan "Little" Diaz closed out the game's final frame, giving up 2 hits and a run. I wish he would stop doing that, because I think Dayan Diaz can be really good. Jermaine "Lee" Curis kept swinging the hot bat, recording 2 hits, 2 RBIs, a walk and a run scored. Steve "Too" Selsky chipped in with 3 hits a walk and a ribbie of his own. Seth Mejias "Brigs" Brean chipped in with 2 hits, while Jose Peraza had a hit and 2 runs scored.
Up Next: Cody Reed returns from his lacerated finger to throw against Norfolk at 6:35pm EDT.
Amir Garrett went for the good guys and continued his brilliant start to the season. Garrett fanned 9
poor fools Generals en route to 6.2 scoreless frames, allowing only 2 hits and 1 walk. Garrett has a 1.46 ERA in his first 4 starts this season. Nice. Kyle McMyne can be McYours after this one, though, as he finished up the game allowing 9 hits and 3 earned in 2.1 innings. McMyne has a fit-for-the-major-league-pen 9.64 ERA on this young season, which is not as good. Phil "Phlervin" Ervin and Sebastian "Bach" Elizalde were the men in this one. Eli knocked in 4 runs on 2 hits (one a dinger) while The Phlerv knocked in 2 runs on 2 hits (one a dinger, as well) and scored three runs. Two more RBI came off the bat of Tony Renda, while Alex "The Great" Blandino, Eric "Violent J" Jagielo, and Donald "Knockwurst" Lutz all recorded a hit and a run scored a piece.
