Dan Straily v. Jordan Lyles

Back home. After a 5-1 homestand to start the season and a 1-5 road trip, there aren't any sweeter words than those that list us as the home team tonight.

Dan Straily gets the nod for his first start of the year. He's pitching on short rest after throwing 3 innings on Friday and 2 1/3 on Wednesday of last week, but hopefully he can get to 5 or 6 tonight. If he doesn't, there'll be a tired bullpen ready to get their heads kicked in for one more night. Weird that they haven't called up another arm (at the time of this writing), but there's still room to get one up before game time, especially if Melville isn't ready yet.

He'll face Jordan Lyles for the Rox, who hasn't made it through 5 innings in a start this year and hasn't given up less than 5 runs in a start this year. Of course, that means that he'll throw a shutout, given the Reds luck.

Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
