We’ve got a playoff doubleheader in store for ya’ll tonight, and things are bound to get good.
The Aboriginal people and the Blue Jays square off for game 4 of the American League Championship Series. Corey Kluber will be going for Cleveland on short rest, but he’s been absolute nails this postseason, striking out 13 batters in 13.1 innings pitched. Kluber has yet to yield a run in these playoffs, so it’s obvious why Cleveland is eager to run their former Cy Young Award winner back out there as soon as possible.
Aaron Sanchez will be on the hill for the Foreigners as they look to avoid the sweep. He got bashed by the Rangers in his one start in the ALDS, allowing six Rangers batters to cross the plate in only 5.2 innings. Over the course of the regular season, however, Sanchez was brilliant, with just a 3.00 ERA over 192 innings. First pitch is scheduled for 4:08pm EDT. First beer throw scheduled for somewhere’s around 6:10pm, Canadian mean time, eh?
The nightcap features 2015 NL Cy Young Award winner Jake “It’s 2 Rs and 1 T” Arrieta vs. Former Cub Rich Hill. Arrieta has been downright filthy to the Dodgers of late, blanking them through 7 innings this season and no-hitting them the season prior. Hill received two starts against the Nationals in the NLDS, but lasted only 7 innings in total, striking out 13 but allowing 5 earned runs. The winner in this one will take a one game advantage in the best of 7 series. Action will begin at 8:08pm EDT live from Chavez Ravine.
