Tuesday Playoffs Open Thread

A pair of games for your viewing pleasure.

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Both the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants will attempt to stave off elimination again on Tuesday, and they'll both do so in the friendly confines of their own California ballparks.

First up, the Dodgers will host the Washington Nationals, and they'll send ace Clayton Kershaw to the mound on short rest while facing a 2-1 series deficit.  The Nats will counter with Joe Ross, the talented 23 year old righty who's fresh off a solid sophomore campaign.  First pitch for this one is set for just after 5 PM ET.

The nightcap will feature the Giants attempting to win their billionth consecutive elimination game, and they'll send former Tampa Bay Rays phenom Matt Moore to the mound to facilitate that feat.  They'll attempt to keep the Chicago Cubs from winning the series outright 3-1, though the Cubs will send John Lackey to the mound to help end that remarkable streak.  First pitch there is set for just after 8:30 PM ET, and hopefully this one won't last until almost 3 AM ET like last night's affair.

Turn on, tune in, and drop a beat.
