Anyway, part time Major League pitcher David "Mongo" Holmberg started this one and well, he's not fooling many AAA hitters, either. HolmSlice went 5 IP with 5 hits, 3 earned, 2 walks, a holmdinger allowed, and 3 strike outs. Tony Cingrani pitched 1 inning thereafter, allowing only 1 hit and inducing 3 strike outs because who the hell knows, Jimmy "Get A Brain" Moran pitched an inning with a strike out and Brennan "Shark?" Bernardino pitched an inning with 3 hits and an earned run. Get outta here, Bernard! Juan Silva notched 2 hits for the bats, with the only RBI in the form of a Juan Bomb. The rest of the Bats were not good.

Dayton Dragons 10, South Bend Cubs 1

Jake "His Name Was AWESOME" Paulson (Awesome Paulson would be great... be good Jake) hurled 8 innings for the Dragons giving up 5 hits and only 1 earned with 3 strike outs and a walk. Jacob "Hank" Moody finished the 1 inning with a walk and nothing else. The Dragons offense busted open for 15 hits, led by Paul Kronenfled on a 3-5, 2 runs scored night. Gavin "Down In" LaValley went 2-5 with a double and 3 RBI, and Narciso "Nasty" Crook busted out a 2-5 night that featured a triple and 5 RBI. Have a trophy, Nasty Crook.
