Pensacola Blue Wahoos

The 'hoos open their five game series against the Biloxi Shuckers on Thursday night, and they'll do so as the away team on the Mississippi coast in Game 1.  First pitch is set for 7:10 PM CT, and Daniel "Patterson" Wright will be on the mound for the good guys.

Daytona Tortugas

The Dragonas wrapped up the FSL North Division Series on Wednesday, completing a 2-game sweep of the Clearwater Threshers with a hard fought 2-1 victory.  Naughty Nick Travieso delivered a stellar performance to back Amir "Cat" Garrett's dominant Game 1 outing, as the Reds' 1st round pick from the 2012 MLB Draft tossed 7 innings of 1 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 5 K ball to shut down the Threshers.  Chad "To the Window, To the" Wallach backed him with a solo dinger, and Blake "Uno Dos" Trahan chipped in by going 2 for 3.  The second of Trahan's hits moved Jeff "Peanut Butter" Gelalich to 2B in the deciding 7th inning, and Gelalich came around to score what ended up as the winning run on a missed-catch error at 1B on a grounder off the bat of "Mr." Wendell Soto.

Daytona will host Games 1 & 2 of the best of 5 FSL Championship Series against the Charlotte Stone Crabs, with Game 1 beginning at 7:05 PM ET Thursday evening.  General Jackson Stephens will toe the rubber for the Tortugas.

Billings Mustangs

The Mustangs scored a single run in each of the Bottom of the 5th, 6th, and 7th innings on Wednesday to claim a 5-2 victory over the Missoula Osprey in Game 1 of their North Division playoff series in the Pioneer League.  The bottom of the order paced the offense on the evening, as Ed "Arctic" Charlton went 2 for 4 with a ribbie and a pair of runs scored from the 8th spot while Jose "Que Sera" Siri followed him with a 2 for 3 evening that featured a triple, a run scored, and a ribbie of his own.  Wendolyn "Steal My Sunshine" Bautista kept the Osprey bats off-tilt from the mound, yielding just 2 ER in his 6 IP, and Jimmy "I Hardly Even Herknow" Herget tossed a perfect 9th inning (with 2 Ks) to pick up the save.

Billings will look to sweep the series by taking Game 2 on Thursday night in Missoula.  Jacob "Energy Equals Mass Times" Constante will get the start for the Mustangs, with first pitch set for 7:05 PM MT.
