The Louisville Bats rode a solid start from "Diamond King" Donn Roach on Wednesday to top the Norfolk Tides, 3-2.   Roach allowed just a pair of runs in his 7 IP, and he was backed by yet another dinger from new Bat Adam Duvall, a 3-hit evening from Brennan "Ki" Boesch, and scoreless innings in relief from Carlos "Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start" Contreras and Colin "Gareth" Balester.

On days when Robert Stephenson doesn't pitch, the current iteration of the Bats is about as blase as it gets.

Speaking of which, former Vanderbilt Commodore Matt Buschmann will take the mound for the Bats tomorrow when they take on the Tides again.  First pitch is set for just after 12 PM ET.

Pensacola got a stellar start from new Blue Wahoo Cody Reed, who mowed down the Jacksonville Suns like he was driving a bat-wing in the median of I-75.  The former Kansas City Royals farmhand picked up the win in impressive fashion, as he logged 8 IP, allowed just 4 hits, walked a pair, and struck out 12 - TWELVE!  Ah ah ah ah - Suns in the process to fuel the 2-1 victory.  Ryan Wright tripled, "Not All Who" Juan Duran "Are Lost" spanked a double, and both of those drove in runs that provided the balance in this one.

Barrett "Samwise" Astin gets the start for the 'hoos tomorrow against Jacksonville.

The Daytona Tortugas played a trio of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme songs on Wednesday en route to a 3-1 victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays.  Phil "Trouble With the" Ervin walked once and is hitting just .246 on the season (though he did notch steal number 23 in this one), but Joe Hudson blasted a 2-run honker as part of a 2 for 2, BB evening to break things open for the 'tuga offense.  That all backed a half-decent Reds MiLB debut for Keury "Numma Numma" Mella, as the key piece in the Mike Leake trade allowed just 3 hits and an earned run in 5 IP in his first start in the organization (with a worth-noting 4 BBs and 4 Ks).

"Naughty" Nick Travieso will return to the mound tomorrow for Daytona with his 2.98 season ERA, with first pitch against Dunedin set for 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton kept the org-wide winning thing going with an 8-3 trouncing of the Cedar Rapids Kernels.  Cory "Mouth" Thompson Feldman'd his way to a heckuva night, blasting a pair of dingers, walking once, and driving in four for the Dragons.  Avain Rachal also had a monster evening, as he went 4 for 4 with a dinger of his own, and both those bats backed a quality start from Jake"Pope Ram John" Paulson to pick up the W.  For you prospect mavens, both Gavin "Livin'" LaValley "Loca" and Aristides Aquino doubled, which is nice.

Junior Morillo gets the rock for the Dragons in Thursday's affair.

The AZL Reds didn't do squat, though, since they did not play on Wednesday.
