Louisville Bats 3, Indianapolis Indians 0

Michael Lorenzen shut down the Indians on Wednesday night, allowing 1 hit and 2 walks over 8 scoreless innings while striking out a respectable 4 batters.  Drew Hayes picked up the save, tossing a perfect 9th inning.  Adam Duvall and Juan "Sound of" Silva drove in a pair of runs in the first with back to back RBI singles.  They would finish the day with nearly identical 2-4 lines.  Juan Perez padded the score with a solo dinger in the 6th inning.

Bob Steve makes his return to the mound tonight at 7:05.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3, Mississippi Braves 1

Cody Reed bounced back from a rough outing, striking out 8 and walking 1 over 6 innings of 1-run ball.  Jesse Winker went 1-2 with 2 walks, scoring a run and driving in another.  Alex "The Great" Blandino smacked a double and worked a walk on a 1-3 night.  With the win, the Wahoos moved into first place for the second half.

Barrett Astin takes on the Baby Barves tonight at 7:35.

Daytona had the night off, they'll send Nick Travieso to the mound to face the Tampa Yanks tonight at 7:05.

Game 1: Dayton Dragons 1, Lake County Captains 0

When this game was suspended on Tuesday, the Dragons held a 1-0 lead over Lake County, and after it wrapped up on Wednesday the score remained the same.  Tyler Mahle was cruising through the first 5 innings before the rain ended their night.  He struck out 5 and walked 2 while allowing 4 hits.  Brennan Bernardino kept the Captains off the board for 3 innings last night, striking out 3, walking 1, and giving up a pair of hits.  Avain Rachal drove in the game's only run, going 2-4 with 2 singles.

Game 2: Dayton Dragons 2, Lake County Captains 9

The Captain's bats woke up in the regularly scheduled game, hanging a 9-spot on the Dragons.  Wyatt Strahan middled through 6.2 innings, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3.  Ty Sterner came on in relief and the wheels fell off, allowing 5 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 0.2 innings.  Woof.  Shederic Long went 2-4 with a solo dinger.

Tejay Antone takes the hill tonight against the Hot Rods at 7:00.

Billings Mustangs 3, Great Falls Voyagers 2

Jose Lopez had his strikeout pitch working on Wednesday, fanning 8 Voyagers over 7 innings while allowing 2 runs on 7 hits.  Shane Mardirosian was a wanger away from the cycle, going 3-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI.  Jake Johnson softly strummed his was to his third save of the season, tossing a perfect 9th inning with a pair of strikeouts.

Franderlyn Romero faces the Voyagers tonight at 9:00.

AZL Reds 6, AZL Giants 4

Ian Kahaloa got the start for the Reds, and tossed 4 scoreless frames, allowing 3 hits and notching 3 strikeouts.  Jesus "Eight year-olds, Dude" Reyes allowed 4 runs over the following 4 innings, striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 6 hits.  Sammy Diaz drove in 2 runs, going 2-4 with a double.  Nick Benedetto went 2-4 with a double as well, driving in 1 run in a rehab appearance.

The AZL Reds are off tonight.
