Louisville and Dayton went long, while Daytona and Pensacola came up short.

Louisville Bats 2, Indianapolis Indians 3

The Indians walked off the Bats after 13 innings in Indianapolis Monday night. Josh "Boring Name" Smith highlighted the pitching staff, going 8 IP, allowing only 3 hits and 2 earned runs with 3 walks and 9 strike outs. Miguel Celestino worked 2 innings of scoreless ball with a strike out. Layne Somsen worked 1 inning allowing nothing but a hit and a strike out, and Carlos Contreras allowed the winning run, his only allowed in 1.1 innings. The Bats offense offered 11 hits but only 2 in the way of runs. Ramon Cabrera was 3-6 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI, Kyle "Gorbachev Make This" Waldrop was 2-6, Kristopher Negron was 2-5, and Juan Perez was also 2-5 with a double and 2 runs scored.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 4, Mississippi Braves 9

Sal "Everybody in Pensacola Hates" Romano struggled again in his 5th start for the Wahoos, going only 2.1 IP with 7 hits and 5 earned. Jacob Johnson tried to mitigate the damage, allowing only 2 earned on 6 hits in 3.2, with 6 punch outs. Patrick Schuster pitched 2 innings with only 1 hit and 2 strike outs, while Mauricio Cabrera went 1 inning with 2 strike outs. The Wahoos managed only 7 hits and and 4 runs, however, and that wasn't good enough. Phil Ervin continued to show strong, with a 2-3 night, a double, an RBI and 2 walks. Marquez Smith was 1-3 with a double, 2 RBI and 2 walks. Kyle "What's a" Skipworth managed the other RBI, while Jesse Winker was 1-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 walks.

Daytona Tortugas 0, Clearwater Threshers 2

Amir "Levi" Garrett did his thing, 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 ER with 3 BB and 6 SO. The relievers did their thing: "Not That" Carlos Gonzalez struck out 2 and allowed nothing in his inning of work, Alejandro "Don't Call My Name" Chacin allowed a hit and that was all. Unfortunately, there was NO offense to be had for the Dragonas. The Baby Turtles managed just 4 hits on the night, 2 of which game from Jeff "Jelly" Gelalich who went 2-5 with a double. Brian "Beef" O'Grady and Daniel "Narrow Minded" Pigott managed a hit a piece.

Dayton Dragons 9, Lake County Captains 6

Dayton managed what their AAA brethren couldn't, as they got 3 runs in the 15th to win against the Captains. Ty "Poppin'" Boyles got the start and went 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 earned along with 3 strike outs and a walk. Michael Sullivan was good for 3.2 innings with no earned runs, 3 strike outs and 2 walks. Jacob "Record Skip" Ehret went 2.1 with 2 hits and 4 strike outs. This one would've ended an inning early, had Jeremy "Jimmy" Kivel not giving up 3 hits, 3 earned and 3 walks in the 14th. Joe Mantoni cleaned up 1.1 innings of 1 hit, 1 strike out ball. The Dragons offense rolled along to the tune of 18 hits and 9 runs (with a lot of zeros in the middle). Aristides Aquino was 3-8 with a double, a triple, and 3 RBI. Gavin "Down In" LaValley was also 3-8, featuring a double and a dinger and 3 RBI. Jimmy "T. Boone" PIckens and Chad "Womp" Tromp also managed 3 hits a piece.

Billings Mustangs 6, Missoula Osprey 4

The Mustangs clipped the Osprey in a regular old regulation sized game. Junior Joselin Arias started the game and went 2.2 innings with 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, a strike out and a home run given up. Austin Orewiler went 1.1 innings, allowing 0 hits, but 2 walks that would subsequently score on Sarkis Ohanian's watch and thus, 2 earned. Ohanian went 2 innings, allowing 1 hit and 2 walks with 4 strike outs. Juan Martinez pitched 2 scoreless with 2 strike outs and Jimmy Herget "A Save" with 1 spotless frame. Kevin Franklin showed out in this one, going 2-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs to go with a walk. Hector Vargas was 1-2 with 2 RBIs, a walk, and a run scored. Shane "Marzipan" Mardirosian went 2-5 with a triple and 2 runs scored, and Brantley Bell was 2-4 with an RBI and run scored.

AZL Reds 2, AZL Mariners 3

The Little Reds fells to the Little Mariners, but it wasn't for a lack of pitching. Adrian Rodriguez went 5 innings, allowing 5 hits but only 1 run on 7 strike outs. Alexis "Lil" Diaz went 2 innings with 4 strike outs and an unearned run. Isaac Anesty allowed the only other earned run in 0.1 innings, while Israel "Huevos" Cuevas went 1.2 allowing only a hit and a walk to go with 2 strike outs. Miles Gordon and Jake Turnbull chipped in with 3-5 nights each, while Sammy Diaz was 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Montrell Marshall was 2-4 with 2 RBI.
