Farmers Only: Winker & Dragons

Jesse Winker and Dayton Dragons. That's really all you should concern yourself with this time.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville Bats 2, Columbus Clippers 6

Josh Smith jumped in for the start in this one, and he was as boring as his name. In 6.1 IP, Boring Name gave up 6 runs (5 earned) and 2 walks with 3 strike outs. Yawn. Carlos Conteras went 1.2 with a strike out, and Collin "Lord" Balester gave up a hit and forced a strike out in his 1 inning. It took 30+ innings, but the Bats finally scored again. Ramon Cabrera was the highlight, going 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. The Ch/Kris's (Dominguez and Negron) both had one hit, the former an RBI, and the Bats are, well, not good/the perfect Reds farm team.

Up Next: John Lamb will not start, like that website says, because he'll be starting for the big club. So, someone will pitch for the Bats at 7:05 ET.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 5, Biloxi Shuckers 6

The Wahoos just couldn't, either. Sal Romano made the start and Everyone Hated Him, going 4.1 IP with 6 hits, 5 ER, 4 walks with only 2 strike outs. Joel "Weekend" Bender went 1.2 with 2 hits, a run and 2 walks. Kyle "McWhose?" McMyne went 1 inning with a walk and Patrick Schuster did the same, with a strike out. Way to go, Pat. The highlight here is Jesse "I Think I'm A Bad Motherfucker, Are You Kidding Me?" Winker who was 2-4 with a winkerbomb, 3 RBI and a run scored. Juan "GotDamn!" Duran did much of the same with only 1 RBI. Bryson Smith clocked in with a 2-5 night with an RBI.

Up Next: Tim Adleman will take the hill against the Shuckers at 8:10 ET.

Daytona Dragonas 0, Lakeland Flying Tigers 3

LOSSES ARE FUN! Nick "It Was A" Routt went 4.1 IP with 6 hits, 2 ER and a walk, along with 4 strike outs. (You didn't deserve that nickname, Nick). Scott Brattvet went 1.2 with 2 hits and a strike out, Carlos "Not That One" Gonzalez went 1.1 with 2 hits and a walk, while Evan Mitchell "Is Batman" went 1.2 with 2 hits, 1 ER, 1 walk and 1 strike out. Taylor "Swift" Sparks and Carlton "American Girl" Daal had the only 2 hits of the evening. Way to go, Dragonas.

Up Next: Amir Garrett will show everyone how it is done (baseball throwing division) by trying to down the Flying Tigers at 7:05 ET.

Dayton Dragons 6, Peoria Chiefs 1

The Dragons showed the TWTW, scalping the Chiefs by 5. Tyler "Poppin'" Mahle went 4.0 IP of 4 hit, 0 ER, 4 strike out baseball followed by Michael "Mike-Suls" Sullivan, who went 4 IP of his own with 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and 6 strike outs. Get salty, Sully! Jacob Ehret went 1,1,1,1 (H, R, ER, and BB). A plethora of Dragons had 2 hits, but Argenis Aldazoro also had 2 RBI. Shedric "Don" Long, Luis "Baseball Player Named" Gonzalez, and Paul Kronenfled all had a 2 hit night as well.

Up Next: Wyatt "Earp" Strahan will come out guns a' blazin' for the Dragons against the Burlington Bees at 7:00 ET.

The Billings Mustangs are the Rookie League team we have, but don't get to see... because they had the day off.

AZL Reds 2, AZL White Sox 5

As if you thought the baby Reds would be any better? Antonio "Banderas" Santillan started the game with a strong 4.0 IP, 3 H, no runs with 2 strike outs and a walk. Rock "Chalk" Rucker spelled him for an inning of no hit, 2 strike outs and a walk baseball. Alfredo "Lil Pasta" Mena blew it with a little help from his friends, while he saw 4 runs be scored but was only charged with 1 of them in 2.1 innings. He did throw 5 strike outs. Miguel Aguilar was not sharp, allowing a run and 2 hits with 2 walks in 0.2 innings pitched. The offense only managed 5 hits on the night. James Vasquez hit a solo dinger, while Michael Beltre was 2-4 with a double. Alejo "George" Lopez was 1-3 with an RBI and SATCHEL MCELROY was 1-4.

Up Next: The AZL Reds will take on the AZL Cubbies at 10:00 ET.
