All moved, settled in, and ready to write about what's really important. Prospects and Minor League Baseball.

Louisville Bats

Friday, Louisville got their butts kicked by Durham, 10-1.  Big Bob Stephenson didn't have his best AAA start (4 IP, 8 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 5 K).  Layne "Dwayne" Somsen and Drew Hayes pitched scoreless innings out of the pen.  The Bats had 3 hits, and this game was sucky.

Saturday, the Bats got their lone win of the weekend, 3-1.  John "BAAAAHHH" Lamb pitched a very good game (6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K).  Jose De La Torre, and Collin "Bollywood" Balester had scoreless appearances out of the pen.  Ryan "Michigan Man" LaMarre and Chris "Bench Body" Dominguez both had 2 hit games.  Dominguez also hit a solo dinger and a walk.

Sunday, Louisville was shutout 9-0.  Brandon Finnegan got roughed up in his start (3.2 IP, 6 H, 7 ER, 2 BB, 5 K).  Carlos "How Does Your Garden Grow?" Contreras and Sam "The Man" LeCure pitched scoreless innings out of the pen.  The Bats had one hit and it was Kristopher Negron that hit it.  He also had a walk.

The Bats have Monday off.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos

Friday, Pensacola beat Birmingham, 5-3.  Daniel "Wilbur" Wright had a quality start (7 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K).  Patrick Schuster and Zack Weiss both pitched a scoreless inning and struck out the side.  Uncle Jesse Winker was 2 for 2 with a double, run scored, and 2 walks.  Sean Buckley was 3 for 4 with a double and a solo dinger, and Beau "Bang My Drum" Amaral also hit a solo dinger.

Saturday, the Wahoos defeated the Barons, 8-7.  Slippy Sal Romano wasn't long for this world (2.2 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 3 BB, 1 K).  Jacob "Jingleheimer" Johnson, Miguel "Celestial" Celestino, and Zack "Sam" Weiss "Tarly" all had scoreless appearances from the pen.  Weiss struck out the side.  Alex "The Great Blandino", Seth Mejias Band, and "Don't Mess With The" Yovan Gonzalez all hit wangers in the game.

Sunday, Pensacola were losers, 3-2.  Timothy Adleman started and pitched very well (6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K). Kevin "Rusty" Shackelford struck out the side in the 9th.  Alex "Hambino" Blandino, Jesse Winkerbean, and Sean Buckley all had 2 hit games.

TBD is slated to pitch tonight at 6:35 PM CST.

Daytona Tortugas

Friday, Daytona shutout the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 5-0.  The Flying Tigers has to be one of the dumbest nicknames ever.  Tigers can't fly.  Jackson Stephens was stellar (7 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K). Jimmy "Got A Brain" Moran and El'Hajj Muhammad pitched a scoreless inning apiece.  Although, El'Hajjy walked 3 batters in his inning. Phillip "Phlervin" Ervin was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI.  Joe Hudson hit a solo dinger and Ty "General" Washington was 2 for 4 with a RBI.

Saturday, the Tortugas clipped those stupid Tiger's wings with a 8-6 victory.  Nick Routt started and struck out a lot of batters, but gave up a bunch of runs (2.2 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 1 BB, 6 K).  Scott "Brat Pack" Brattvet picked up the pieces with 3 scoreless innings.  Carlos Gonzalez and Alejandro "Taking" Chacin had scoreless innings.  Junior Felix "Kitty" Arias was 2 for 5 with a double and a RBI.  Sebastian "Sea Bass" Elizalde had an identical line without the double, and Carlton "Dance Like Hell" Daal was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a run scored.

Sunday, Daytona declawed the Tigers, 2-1.  Amir "Love and Basketball" Garrett pitched well (7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K).  Jimmy Moron and El"Hajjy had scoreless appearances.  Chad "Walla Walla" Wallach was 2 for 3 with a walk. Ty Washington was 1 for 2 with 2 walks and a run scored.

Keury Mella starts tonight at 6:30 PM EST.

Dayton Dragons

Friday, Dayton got their tushies kicked by Quad Cities, 7-1.  The defense didn't do anyone any favors with 5 errors.  Tyler "Good Gahle Miss" Mahle started and pitched well enough (6 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 1 BB, 2 K). Ty "Steamer" Sterner pitched 2 innings without giving up an earned run.  Dayton was 4 hit and bad offensively.

Saturday, Dayton played even worse with a 10-0 loss.  The defense gave up another 3 errors.  The problem wasn't starting pitching.  Wyatt Strahan went 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K.  The bullpen was pretty bad.  Avain Rachael was 2 for 4.

Sunday, Dayton finally pulled off a victory, 3-1.  Tejay "Teehee" Antone continued his dominance of A ball (7 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, and 3 K).  Michael "Sully" Sullivan pitched 2 scoreless innings. Cory Thompson was 2 for 4 with a double and a solo ding dong.

Dayton has Monday off.

Billings Mustangs

Friday, Billings was blanked by Ogden, 5-0.  Tanner "Mount" Rainey started and was decent (4.1 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 K). Jake "Nick Miller" Johnson pitched a scoreless inning.  The offense was poopy.

Saturday, the game was rained out.  So, they played two on Sunday.

Game 1 saw Billings victorious, 3-2.  Ty "Water" Boyles continues to embarrass Pioneer League hitters (5 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K).  Jake Johnson and Jimmy "Lee" Herget pitched scoreless innings out of the pen.  Ed "Steve" Charlton was 1 for 3 with a 3 run double.

Game 2, Billings was blanked by Ogden again, losing 1-0.  Jacob "Constantine" Constante started and pitched well (6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K).  Junior "Jumpin'" Joselin Arias pitched a scoreless inning out of the pen.  The offense was, again, poopy

They say Ty Boyles is scheduled to start Monday night at 7:05 PM MT.  However, he just pitched yesterday, so I doubt it.

Arizona Baby Reds

Saturday, the Baby Reds defeated the Baby Indians, 4-0.  Ian "Kiki" Kahaloa started the game and pitched well (4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, and 4 K).  Jesus "Saves" Reyes pitched another 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K of baseballs in relief. Jose "Ask" Siri hit a solo dinger and had a walk.  Alejo "Hey Yo" Lopez was 2 for 3.  Raul "Mondesi" Wallace was 2 for 3 with a solo dinger of his own and 2 RBI.

As of midnight Central Time, the Reds and Brewers were knotted at 1 in the 10th inning.  Here is the box score.  I'm sleepy.
