Farmers Only: Off Days and Rainouts

Not a lot of balls were based.

Louisville was out dueled by Charlotte, losing 7-1 to the Knights.  Tony Cingrani struggled through 3 innings, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits and 2 walks, while fanning 3.  Carlos Contreras struck out 2 batters in a scoreless inning of relief.  Kyle Waldrop went 2-4 with 2 singles.  Bob Steve takes the hill against the Knights at 7:00 for dollar hot dog night.

Pensacola had the day off.

Daytona lost 2-1 to St. Lucie, despite being outhit 15-4.  Nick Routt danced around 9 hits in 5.1 innings giving up 1 run while walking 1 and striking out 3.  Alex "The Great" Blandino accounted for both of the team's extra-base hits, going 3-4 with 2 doubles.   Sal Romano revs his engine tonight at 6:30 as the Tortugas take on the Mets.

Dayton had the day off as well.

Billings had their game cancelled due to rain.  The game will not be rescheduled.

Arizona beat up on their roommates, winning 13-4 over the Indians.  Sammy Diaz went 3-4 with a double and 3 RBI in a rehab appearance. Montrell Marshall drove in 2 runs, going 3-4 with a double.  Israel Cuevas picked up the win, tossing 6 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts and a walk.  The Reds face off against the Jr. Mariners tonight at 10:00.
