Louisville once again went to extras in Columbus, falling 3-2 in 11 innings last night. Layne Somsen had a so-so start, giving up 1 run in 5 innings on 4 walks and 3 hits while striking out 2 batters. Josh "Hail" Satin went 2-4 with a homer, while Ryan "Hedy" LaMarre went 2-4 with a double and a dinger. Devin Mesoraco went 0-2 with 2 strikeouts. Sam LeCure gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 11th on a bases loaded HBP. LeSigh. Donovan "Mr." Hand takes the hill for the Bats tonight at 7:05 ET.
Pensacola coughed up an early 6-0 lead, only to pull off the walk off win, beating the Jacksonville Suns 7-6. Daniel Wright was not very sharp, giving up 4 runs in 5.2 innings, striking out 7 and walking 4. Ray Chang was a home run away from the cycle, going 4-5 with 2 doubles, a triple and 3 RBI. He also drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. Jesse Winker reached base 3 times on the night, going 2-4 with a walk. Wandy Peralta gets the start tonight at 8:05 as the Wahoos head to Montgomery to face the Biscuits.
Daytona had their game postponed due to "wet grounds." They'll play a double header today with Amir Garrett taking on St. Lucie in game one at 5:05.
Dayton walked off against Wisconsin, winning 4-3 in 10 innings. Gavin LaValley drove in the winning run, going 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Over the last couple of weeks, the former 4th round pick has been hitting the absolute snot out of the ball, slashing .397/.453/.552 in 15 games. Wyatt Strahan struck out 6 in 6 innings, but allowed 3 runs on 7 hits and a pair of walks. Junior Morillo makes his second start of the season tonight at 7:00.
