Farmers Only: Cardiac Bats

Louisville makes a comeback, and Bob Steve keeps keeping on.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville rallied late twice, scoring 3 runs in the 9th to tie the game, and again scoring 3 runs in the 11th to beat the Clippers 7-4.  Irving Falu went 3-5 with a walk and 3 RBI, playing a hand in both the 9th inning and 11th inning rallies.  David Holmberg struck out 6 in 6 innings, but gave up 3 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks.  Devin Mesoraco went 1-2 with a walk, and had an outfield assist gunning down a runner at third after a failed attempt at a diving catch in the first.  The Bats play tonight at 7:00, but no starter has been announced as of yet.

Pensacola got 'em on, and got 'em over, but couldn't get 'em in, as they lost 2-1 to Jacksonville despite outhitting the Suns 8 to 3.  Robert Stephenson got tagged with the tough luck loss, giving up a pair of runs on 3 hits and 2 walks while fanning 8 batters.  This is where poojols would tell you that over the last 26.2 innings, Bob has 36 K, 8 hits, 4 walks, and just 2 runs.  Jam.  Beau "Arts" Amaral went 2-3 with a walk, and drove in the only Wahoo run.  Jesse Winker had a rough night, going 0-4 with a strikeout.  Dan Wright takes the hill for the Wahoos tonight at 7:35.

Daytona lost a pitcher's duel, falling 3-2 in 10 innings.  The Tortugas spoiled a solid start from Nick Travieso, as he struck out 6 and walked none over 6 innings, giving up a run on 3 hits.  El'Hajj Muhammad got tagged with the loss, as he gave up the game winning run in the top of the 10th.  Sebastian Elizalde had the only offensive performance of note, going 2-4 with a double.  Amir Garrett looks to bounce back from an ugly start his last time out tonight at 7:05.

Dayton had the night off.  Wyatt Strahan gets the start for the Dragons tonight at 7:00.
