Louisville had the night off because Corky Miller was in town and took all the players out for some beers and raucous partying. Probably not because he has a job to do, but that sounds like a hell of a good time. Raise Hell will start later tonight at 7:05 EST for the Bats.
Pensacola beat the Smokes in walk off fashion in the 9th inning by a score of 5-4. Daniel Wright started the game and had a weird start. He showed why he was so good in 2014 but still gave up 4 earned runs in 6 innings. He gave up 5 hits and all those runs came in the first inning. The amazing part is he struck out 10 and only walked 1. Dang. John Jacob Jingleheimer Johnson pitched 3 innings of shutout ball with 2 strikeouts. Ryan "Wick's Wet Dream" Wright continued his torrid start to the season with 3 singles and a run scored. Jesse Winker and Seth Mejias-Band both had a single, walk, and some ribbies (Winker 1, SMB 2). Boring Name will get the start tonight at 6:35 CST.
The Tortugas couldn't keep up with the Thrashers last night losing 6-2. Krampus was solid in his start giving up 3 runs (0 earned) on 5 hits, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts. If the defense and bullpen doesn't let him down, he probably wins this game. Wait, am I talking about the Reds or Tortugas? Both of the errors were credited to Daal (fielding and a missed catch) and only has three on the season. That is a massive improvement. Alex Blandino and Carlton "Dancing" Daal both had two singles in the game, and Phillip Ervin hit a single, drove in a run, and took a walk. Sal Romano will start tonight at 7:05 EST.
Dayton also dropped a game to the West Michigan Whitecaps 5-3. Tyler "Good Golly Miss" Mahle was also let down by his defense. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 runs, 2 earned, 7 hits, 0 walks, and 6 strikeouts. In all, the Dragons committed 5 errors which is just a shitty thing to do. Alejandro Chacin pitched 2 innings, striking out 4, and Jacob Ehret pitched 2 scoreless with a strikeout. Jonathon "Sey Hey" Reynoso hit a solo bomb on a 2 for 4 night. Ronald "Muy" Bueno and Wendell Soto also had mutli-hit games. Wyatt Strahan will start tonight at 7:00 EST.
