The Cincinnati Reds lost.

The Joe Nuxhall Memorial Honorary Star of the Game

Joey Votto got on base for the 48th consecutive game tonight, tying Pete Rose for the franchise record. Tomorrow, he'll try for 49th for the record all to himself.

The Joey Vothall Memorial Honorary Star of the Game, as I like to call it.

Honorable mention to I don't know, because screw it.

Key Plays

  • The Reds lost their 13th straight game 6-4 to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 3rd to last game of the season in 12 innings. Yeah, IF you want the box score highlights to this one, you can find it as easily as I can. But why would you?

Other Notes
  • The Philadelphia Phillies game was postponed tonight, meaning this Reds loss tied them for the worst record in all of the league (in the loss column, at least). At this point, every loss is a win, no matter how danged frustrating it is.
  • Joey Votto. Gosh.
  • BK's gonna have to write another comparison article tomorrow
