The Reds have announced they inked journeyman right-handed hurler Jason Marquis to a minor league deal with an invite to Major League camp. So, that's something. Marquis's last ML appearance occurred in the friendly confines of Petco Park in sunny San Diego, California. INSIDER ALERT: Our own Johnny F. Weezy saw Marquis in action on occasion, and reports Marquis showed a little something left in the tank. However, he had Tommy John surgery in the summer of 2013, and struggled in the minors last season. Maybe one more year into rehab he can round back into shape and be decent depth. At age 36, almost one full year removed from his last major league appearance and one TJ surgery later, maybe he can't. Stay tuned, I guess?
