Great American Ballpark

Alfredo Simon vs. Francisco Liriano

COMPLETE COVERAGE >

In the most improbable scenario of the season for me, All-Star Alfredo Simon takes the hill for the Reds for his 32nd start of the season. Projected to start the season in the bullpen this year, not only has he already set a personal record in innings pitched this year, but today's start will double his career high of games started in a season.

He'll face the always tough Francisco Liriano of the Pirates, who are still in contention of winning the NL Central outright.

Go Reds!
