Bakersfield got swept in a double header. Ismael Guillon took the tough-luck 5-4 loss in game one, giving up 5 runs (1 earned) over 4.2 innings. Marquez Smith drove in 2 runs, going 2-3 with a triple, and Zach Vincej went a perfect 4-4. Lane Somsen started the nightcap, giving up a run on a solo home run in 4 innings. Unfortunately, Brian "Black" Pearl coughed up 5 runs (4 earned), while managing to record just one out in the 5th, putting the Blaze down 6-1. Bakersfield attempted a late-inning rally, but ultimately fell short, losing 8-6. Dayton rode yet another strong start from Amir Garrett to a 1-0 victory over the Great Lakes Loons. Garrett tossed his second consecutive scoreless outing, giving up a pair of hits and a walk, while fanning 6 batters. Robert "Machete" Ramirez went 2-4 with a double, and drove in the game's only run. Alex "The Great" Blandino and Ronald "Here is Horseshit, Here is" Bueno both went 2-3 with a pair of singles. Dang Langfield (3-2, 3.88 ERA) gets the start in Bowling Green at 8:05 PM ET.
Billings scored 5 runs on 5 hits, but lost to the Rockies 6-5. Tejay Antone gave up 4 runs in 5 innings on 6 hits and a walk, while striking out 4 batters.
