Farmers Only: Amir Garrett's Full Court Press

Louisville had the night off.  Brett Marshall (0-7, 8.62 ERA) takes on the Syracuse Chiefs at 7:00 ET tonight.  Corky Miller appreciation night is still August 31st.

Pensacola got smacked around by the Generals, losing 9-3.  Ben Lively fell victim to a pair of long balls, giving up 5 runs over 6 innings on 6 hits and a walk.  Juan Duran smacked 3 doubles on a 3-3 night, and Yorman Rodriguez went 2-4 with 2 strikeouts.  Up Next: Daniel Corcino (9-9, 4.29 ERA) faces off against the Generals at 7:30 ET.

Bakersfield got swept in a double header.  Ismael Guillon took the tough-luck 5-4 loss in game one, giving up 5 runs (1 earned) over 4.2 innings.  Marquez Smith drove in 2 runs, going 2-3 with a triple, and Zach Vincej went a perfect 4-4.  Lane Somsen started the nightcap, giving up a run on a solo home run in 4 innings.  Unfortunately, Brian "Black" Pearl coughed up 5 runs (4 earned), while managing to record just one out in the 5th, putting the Blaze down 6-1.  Bakersfield attempted a late-inning rally, but ultimately fell short, losing 8-6.  Up Next:  Wandy Peralta (7-10, 4.83 ERA) takes the hill as the Blaze head to Visalia to face on the Butt Onions at 10:00 ET.

Dayton rode yet another strong start from Amir Garrett to a 1-0 victory over the Great Lakes Loons.  Garrett tossed his second consecutive scoreless outing, giving up a pair of hits and a walk, while fanning 6 batters.  Robert "Machete" Ramirez went 2-4 with a double, and drove in the game's only run.  Alex "The Great" Blandino and Ronald "Here is Horseshit, Here is" Bueno both went 2-3 with a pair of singles.  Dang Langfield (3-2, 3.88 ERA) gets the start in Bowling Green at 8:05 PM ET.

Billings scored 5 runs on 5 hits, but lost to the Rockies 6-5.  Tejay Antone gave up 4 runs in 5 innings on 6 hits and a walk, while striking out 4 batters.  Nary a Mustang had a multi-hit game, but "Heiress Titties" Aquino drove in a couple runs, going 1-4 with a double.  Up Next:  Conor Krauss (0-0, 0.00 ERA) makes his first professional start at 9:05 ET.

The AZL Reds beat up on the AZL Cubs, winning 10-4.  Mark "Strong Arm" Armstrong struck out 7 batters and gave up an unearned run in 6 innings, walking none and allowing just 2 hits.  Chadwick Tromp "Le Monde" blasted a pair of doubles and drove in a run on a 3-4 night.  Up Next: The Reds take on the Jr. Southsiders at 10:00 ET.
