David Holmberg v. Tsuyoshi Wada

COMPLETE COVERAGE >

One down, one to go.

The Reds have David Holmberg going today, making his Reds debut after a cup of coffee last year in Arizona. Sound familiar? He's the guy the Reds got in the Ryan Hanigan deal. He's 0-4 in 10 starts in Louisville so far this year with a 5.26 ERA in 44 1/3 innings.

I bet you're saying "hey, that doesn't sound like a lot of innings! It isn't, he missed almost a month and his longest start so far this year is 6 2/3 innings. Although, he's been better lately, with scoreless outings in 3 of his last 4 starts and 3 quality starts in his last 4 starts.

He'll face off against Tsuyoshi Wada, who is making his major league debut today. Sound familiar? The Orioles signed him out of Japan for more than $8M and he didn't throw one big league pitch for them. That guy.

Bullpen log is updated through the early game today. Jay Bruce is playing 1B again, so that should be fun.

Go Reds!
