Mike Leake v. Edwin Jackson

COMPLETE COVERAGE >

We start this 5 game series against the Cubs in a bit of a tailspin. The big story today is Joey Votto's quad once again, and he's sitting out again tonight. Jay Bruce will be playing 1B, because sometimes things don't make sense. This is one of those things.

Mike Leake takes the hill for the Reds, coming off of a rough outing against the Padres in San Diego. He hasn't faced the Cubs yet this year.

Edwin Jackson starts for the depleted Cubs, who will be facing the Reds for the 4th time this year. He hasn't made it out of the 6th in any of those starts.

Go Reds! They're my favorite turmoil-based team!
