Homer Bailey v. Chase Anderson

Three series since the break, three series lost for the Reds. The only thing the current team can do is muster on, and hope they get some kind of help from the front office this week. Whether that be a minor leaguer ready to take some reps, or a trade to help their chances this year or even next year, there's a chance that the team we see tonight could look different than the team we see this weekend.

We're dancing with the ones we brought for now, though, and that means Chris Heisey batting 5th and Kris Negron playing 2nd base tonight. Oh well.

Next one up to get no run support from the offense is Homer Bailey. How bad has it been? The Reds have lost in 5 of Bailey's last 6 starts, and the one they won in was when he threw a shutout. He had a quality start in his last outing, so hopefully he'll be able to keep the Reds in striking distance.

He'll face righty Chase Anderson, who's having a pretty decent go around his first time with the league. He's not faced the Reds yet, but has quality starts in his last two games.

The lineup is still pretty banged up, but that's going to be the case until Joey and BP get back.

Go Reds! They're my favorite buyers sellers baseball!
