Farmers Only: An Organizational Sweep.

Whatever.

Louisville is really starting sputter, losing 1-0 to the Columbus Clippers.  I don't think there is anything worse than losing 1-0.  It's such a soul sucking, heart breaking, punch in the nads.  Dylan Axel"Ram"Rod got his first start for the Louisville Bats and kept the runs off the board (7.1 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K).  Pedro Villarreal also pitched 1.2 scoreless innings.  The offense, much like the Reds offense, was lifeless.  Rey "Is Hitting .300" Navarro had two singles, and Hernan Iribarren hit a double.  Yawn.  Josh Smith pitches tonight.

Pensacola fell to the Mobile BayBears 6-3.  I wonder what a Sluggish BayBear looks like?  Woah, Ben Lively.... Woah.  Reign it in.  He has been super wild since getting to AA.  He went 6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 7 BB, 4 K.  I guess you only give up one run with 7 walks when you give up only 2 hits.   The defense seems to have let the pitching down in the 8th and 8th with all 5 runs being unearned, but only 1 error?  Weird.  Yorman got a golden shower sombrero.  All three of the Wahoo runs were scored on a Rossmel "Hotel, Holiday Inn" Perez hit a three run wanger in the 9th.  'Lil Cueto starts tonight.

Bakersfield got dirt stomped by Rancho Cucamongo by a score of 10-4.  Drew Cisco was bad, as he has been most of the year, with a 5.1 IP, 10 H, 7 ER, 3 BB, and 3 K line.  Sean Lucas (1 IP, 1 K) and James Allen (2 IP, 2 K) both had scoreless appearances.  Not much happened on the offensive side, except for Sebastian "Bach" Elizalde hit a 3 run shot in the 4th.  It was his fifth since being promoted to Bakersfield.  Marquez Smith kept his hot bat going with 2 doubles in 3 at bats and a walk.  Wandy Peralta will start tonight.

Edit I'm surprised no one called me out on this, but Dayton did play last night, and they lost 5-4 in 11 innings.  I got my days screwed up on their site.  They don't play tonight.  Amir Garrett got the start and went 6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, and 7 K.  Nick Howard pitched a scoreless inning with 2 K's.  Alejandro Chacin pitched 3 innings, striking out 3.  He was somehow credited with the blown save, even though he didn't give up the run.  Ervin walked twice and Gabriel Rosa hit a 3 run bomb.  Dayton has tonight off.

Billings lost the Ogden Raptors (which is a sweet name) 8-4.  The bats went relatively quiet, and the pitching still sucked.  Luke "Get a Brain" Moran went 4 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR.  Mike Saunders gave up 4 ER in 1 inning pitched.  He walked 2 and struck out none.  He surrendered 6 hits in that inning.  Jose Guzman pitched 3 scoreless innings with 3 K.  Aristides Aquino went back down to demigod status with an 0 for 4 night with 3 K.  The only Mustang with multiple hits was Garrett Boulware with 2 singles and a RBI.  Alex Blandino had 2 walks and a run scored in 2 at bats.  Tejay "VaJayJay" Atone will start tonight.

The AZL Reds lost to the AZL Angels by a score of 9-3.  The only pitcher to not give up a run was Tyler Parmenter. He pitched a scoreless 9th with a strikeout.  Everyone else gave up enough runs to put their ERA for the day around 9.  Gavin LaValley continues to shine in Arizona.  He went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored.  LaValley is currently hitting .310/.390/.483 on the season.  He does have 6 errors in 42 chances at 3B, so damn.  I'd expect him to move up if some promotions happen in Billings, which they should.  Probably once Sparks and Blandino get moved to Dayton, which they should.  Reydel Medina had a line exactly the same as LaValley's.  The AZL Reds will play the AZL Angels again tonight.
