Louisville had a bad night as Josh Smith and Nick Christiani got whooped on, and they lost 10-1. Josh Smith went 4.2 innings, giving up 9 hits, 5 earned runs, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Nick Christiani gave up 6 hits and 4 earned runs in 1 inning. Ruben "You don't say" Gotay had 2 doubles and a run scored in 4 at bats. Brett Marshall pitches tonight at 7:05 pm.
Pensacola had a rough go of it because Jonathon "Moxon" Moscot had himself a rough night. (4 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO, 1 HR). He's the damn dumbest smart kid I know. After Hector Nelo came in and gave up 2 earned runs the rest of the bullpen shutdown the Jacksonville Suns, but the damage was already done and Pensacola lost 8-6. We did have some offense, though. Yorman Rodriguez had a solo touchdown. The Brean of the Seth Mejias Kind had 3 singles and a run scored. Ryan "Can Do" Wright had 3 doubles, 2 RBI, and a run scored in 4 at bats! Also, just to keep you on track, Jesse Winker had 2 singles to push his AA batting average over .200. Yay! Michael Lorenzen pitches at 6:30 pm CST.
Bakersfield had the night off. Wandy Peralta will pitch tonight at 7:00 pm PST.
Dayton got their patooties kicked by the Lake County Captains by a score of 13-2. The Captains took a lot of liberties with Sal Romano's pitching (5.1 IP, 10 H, 9 R, 7 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO, 2 HR). Tony Amezcua did have 4 strikeouts in 2 innings, so I mean, that was good. Phil Ervin had a single and a walk, and Jonathan Reynoso had 2 walks. Reynoso seems to be walking quite a bit. Carlton "Dayum" Daal had 2 hits and a run scored. Danny Dan Langfield will pitch tomorrow night at 7:00 pm EST.
Billings did something, and they did it big. We have a ball club that scored a lot of runs and won the game! They beat Helena by a score of 12-8. The offensive onslaught was led by Brian "Love Child of Captain O'Hagan and Chief Grady" O'Grady with a 4 for 5 night, which included 2 doubles, a 2 run face melter, and 5 RBI. Nick Bendetto had a multi-hit game, and the rest of the runs were scored by clutchy hits. Mike Saunders had a night to forget, pitching 2.0 innings, giving up 4 hits, 4 earned runs, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, and 1 home run. "Solid Snake" Soid Marquez came came in the game from the bullpen and was much better. He pitched 4 shutout innings, giving up 5 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 3. Wyatt Strahan will pitch tonight.
The Arizona League Reds lost again, this time to the Arizona League Arizonans, 8-6. Mark Armstrong got the start and was adequate (4.0 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO). El'Hajj Muhammad made another appearance, lasting 0.2 innings, giving up a run, walking 1, and striking out 2. Shane Mardirosian had a triple and a single in 2 at bats, including 3 RBI. Narciso "I'm not a" Crook also had 2 singles on the day.
