Homer Bailey v. Tim Lincecum

COMPLETE COVERAGE >

After an off day (and a few off for me), we're back at it. The Reds are coming off of a nice series in Arizona, and a winning road trip. Tonight begins one of those make-or-break homestands for the Reds. Perform well against teams they can beat, and they could be right back in the division race. Roll over, and it may be time to start listening to trade offers.

The Reds open this series against the Giants with a pitching matchup of former top-10 picks, which is fitting on draft week. Homer Bailey has been up and down all year, but pitched well in his last two starts so hopefully that'll mean that he's finding a little momentum. He's never lost against the Giants in 6 career starts.

Tim Lincecum will get the start for the Giants, and has also been up and down this year. It looks like he's stabilized in his last few starts, but this is his first road start since May 7, when he got shelled in Pittsburgh. He has an ERA over 6 at GABP in his 2 starts.

Pretty normal lineup, with the exception of Skippy in LF. Pena is your 1B for this one.

Go Reds!
