Louisville got checkmate'd by the Charlotte Knights in a back and forth affair, falling 9-8.  Donald Lutz had a solid night, going 3-4 with a walk and an RBI.  Ruben Goatse Gotay went 3-5, and honked his 14th wanger of the season.  The pitching was pretty forgettable.  Josh Smith gave up 4 runs in 5.1 innings, striking out 5 and walking one.  Tim Crabbe got tagged with the loss, giving up a run in 0.2 innings.  Up Next: Brett Marshall (0-2, 8.10 ERA) takes on the Knights at 7:05 ET.

Pensacola lost to the Lookouts 14-10 in large part thanks to a horrendous performance from Daniel Corcino.  Lil' Volquez got tagged for 8 runs on 4 hits in 3 innings.  Corcino struck out 2, walked 4 and gave up a pair of long balls.  After finding themselves in an 8-1 hole after 3 innings, the Wahoos mounted a very respectable comeback effort.  Our Man, Yorman Rodriguez led the charge, going 3-4 with a grand slam, a walk, and 5 RBI.  Seth Mejias-Brean went 2-5 with a solo dinger, and Ryan Wright went 2-4 with a double.  Michael Lorenzen got a pinch hit appearance and drew a walk.  Up Next: Jon Moscot (4-6, 2.82 ERA) is currently dueling the Lookouts in Chattanooga.

Bakersfield got tanned by Socrates Brito and the Visalia Rawhide, losing 6-4.  Drew Cisco got knocked around a bit, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, striking out 2 and walking none.  Yovan Gonzalez went 2-3 with a double, and Zach Vincej went 2-5 with a stolen base.  Up Next: The Blaze face off against the Rawhide at 10:45 ET.  No starters announced yet.

Dayton lost in walkoff fashion, falling to Ft. Wayne 10-9.  Amir Garrett gave up a mere 3 runs on 8 hits, striking out 2 and walking 1.  Rowdy Radhames Quezada made his second appearance of the season, and gave up a pair of runs in 1.2 innings.  Phil Ervin banged out 3 extra-base hits, and drove in 3 runs, going 3-5 with a double and 2 triples.  JamRod McGruder went 2-6 with a double, and Daniel "-ManBear" Pigott went 1-4 with a 2-run triple.  Up Next:  Sal "Bad Credit, No Problem" Romano (4-6, 3.50 ERA) is taking on the TinCaps this afternoon.

Billings completed the organizational 0-fer, losing to the Voyagers 6-5.  Cory Thompson kept up his hot start, going 2-5 with a double and a dong.  Hey look, it's a shortstop who can hit!  Ty "Fighter" Washington swiped a pair of bags, going 3-5 from the leadoff spot.  Luke Moran got chased in the fourth inning after allowing 5 runs (4 earned) on 8 hits, striking out 5 and walking just one.  Up Next: The Mustangs square off against Missoula at 9:05 ET.  Their website has Luke Moran starting, but I can't imagine he's starting two games in a row.

AZL had the night off.  They play tonight at 10:00 ET.
