Alfredo Simon v. Edinson Volquez

COMPLETE COVERAGE >

Let's have a little bit calmer win tonight, shall we?

The Reds will go with Alfredo Simon for tonight's game. He faced the Pirates earlier this year in Pittsburgh, going 6 2/3 innings with 4 runs given up, only 2 of them earned. His 8 innings he pitched last time was one of his better outings this year, so hopefully he can build on that tonight.

The Pirates will feature former Red Edinson Volquez, who's coming off of his best outing of the year. He threw 7 shutout innings his last time out, but that was against the Cubs.

Go Reds!
