Boy oh boy, did last night's win feel good. The pitching was spectacular (save for one minor scare in the 7th) and Joey Votto is back to doing Joey Votto things. The Reds go for the series split today in a business day special at GABP.
The Reds have Alfredo Simon on the hill for today, who has 2 quality starts in a row against Arizona and Philly. Actually, his last rough outing was his last start against the Dodgers, where he gave up 5 runs and didn't make it out of the 4th inning. He should be extra motivated to avenge that loss.
Zack Greinke is the Dodgers' starter, who struck out a season-high 11 Reds when he faced them earlier this year. He has 5 career starts at GABP, where he owns a respectable 2.65 ERA.
Billy has the day off with Skipper leading off, but that's the only major lineup change.
Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
