Farmers Only: Wahoos Butter Their Biscuits

And eat them with delicious JAM.

Louisville finished their game in 6 innings because it rained, and they won 3-1.  I don't think anyone really cares much about this game, except for what Joey Votto and Mat Latos did.  Joey hit a single and scored a run in 3 at bats.  Mat went 5.2 innings, giving up 4 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts.  He finished his pitches in the bullpen.  It sounds like Latos and Cingrani will be switching rotation spots from Cincinnati to Louisville.  Rueben Gotay did hit a 2-run jimmy to score Votto.  Brett Marshall will pitch tonight, and try to do a better job than the last time at 12:05 pm.

Pensacola went and got themselves all nasty and awesome and stuff yesterday winning both games of the double header.  They broke out the bats, which isn't something they've done much of this year.

In the first game, the Wahoos beat the Bisquits 6-2.  Rey Navarro and Big Juan Duran both broke out the boom sticks with solo shots.  Juan Duran would also hit a 2 run double giving him 3 RBI on the night.  Yorman Rodriguez decided not to suck, going 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.  Mikey O'Brien is still starting and kept his team in the game, even though he had a WHIP of 2.0.  He went 5 IP, 9 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, and 2 K.  Lee Hyde had a scoreless appearance, and Marry Marry Carlos Contreras pitched the 7th and struck out two batters.

Game 2 saw the Wahoos whoop some stupid Biscuit ass, winning 9-2.  Michael ROARlenza pitched 5 scoreless innings, giving up 3 hits, no walks, and 3 strikeouts.  Drew Hayes had 2 strikeouts in an inning of relief.  Steve "Chicks Dig The" Selsky slammed a solo boilermaker and had a RBI single.  If you paid attention to my timely Farmers Market last week, you'd know that was Selsky's first homerun of the year.  It's kind of a big deal.  Devin Lohman was 2 for 2, with a double, a walk, and 3 RBI.  Hi Ho Silverio was 2 for 2, with 2 RBI, and a walk.  Ray "Chitty Chitty Bang" Chang was 2 for 2, with 2 walks, and 3 runs scored.  Pensacola plays tonight at 7:05 CST against Mobile.  TBD will be on the mound.

Bakersfield beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 3-1 on Monday night.  They proved that you can achieve things even without the internet.  Rancho Cucamonga had their internet services separated last night, apparently, but not being able to check the Facebooks and sending no filter pics to Instagram ain't no big deal to the Blaze.  The winning effort was led by "Don't Call Me Ryan Call Me" Daniel Wright. He pitches 7 shutout innings, giving up a hit, no walks, and 4 strikeouts.  Woop woop.  He's my favorite Wright.  Juan Silva hit a triple, walked, and stole his 29th base of the season.  Kyle "The Watcher on the" Waldrop went for 4 for 4, with 2 doubles, and 2 runs scored.  He is BABIPing the shit out of this season.  Zach Vincej hit 2 singles with a RBI.  Bakersfield will play tonight at 7:45 pm PST, and both teams agreed to just put a pitching machine on the mound.

Dayton dropped their game to Lake County on Monday, losing 5-2.  Sal Romano didn't have his best game (5 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO, 1 HR).  However, Dan Langfield was more like WOOOOOO DANGFIELD.  He pitched the final 3 innings, giving up no runs, 2 hits, 2 BB, and 6 K.  His ERA is down to 3.78.  Dayton had 5 hits, and none of them are really worth talking about.  Amir Garrett pitches tonight at 7:00 pm.
