The Reds had a good homestand, but they'll get tested on the East Coast this week, first with a pop-in with the Boston Red Sox. It'll be even tougher since the Reds have lost another two starters since Saturday, with Jay Bruce hitting the DL and Billy Hamilton apparently struggling with an injury too.
The Reds will use Homer Bailey in this one, who's coming off of an 8-inning performance against the Brewers. He's only faced Boston once, in 2008, and he got shelled to the tune of 5 runs in 2 1/3 innings in that one. He's never pitched at Fenway.
Lefty Felix Doubront will take the hill for the Sawx, who is coming off of a nice outing against Tampa. That was only his third quality start, and his 5.70 ERA could spell a big day for the Reds offense. Or would, if they weren't all hurt.
