His Baloney has a first name. It's P-O-O-P-Y.

Dilip Vishwanat

Louisville had a poopy game, Matt Maloney had a poopy start, and the Bats lost 15-8 to the Scranton Stranglers.  Maloney started the game going 2.2 IP, giving up 10 hits, 6 runs, 2 earned, with 0 walks, and 0 strikeouts.  The bullpen was also awful.  Wooooooof.  I hope Yossi is happy.  The offense was pretty good, and was able to put up a 5 spot in the first.  Rueben Gotay hit a Star Spangled Banner, and there were several multi-hit games.  Jason Bourgeois, Neftali Soto, Felix Perez (double and a triple), Chris Nelson, Bryan Anderson (double), and Thomas Neal (double) all had more than one hit.  Josh Smith will take the mound tonight against Scranton.

Pensacola lost to Mississippi 6-3.  Lil Cueto was good (6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K).  The bullpen was a let down.  Drew Hayes, Fabian Williamson, Justin Freeman all entered the game and gave up at least 1 earned run.  Travis "Moose" Mattair hit a two run Johnson in the 3rdJosh Fellhauer was 2 for 4 with a run scored.  The rest of the offense was offensive.  Bob Steve pitches tomorrow night at 7:00 pm CST

Bakersfield defeated the High Desert Mavericks by a score of 5-4.  Drew Cisco delivered what may have been his best start of the season.  The young right-hander went 5 innings, giving up 7 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts.  He still allowed a few too many base runners and a homerun, but it is a step in the right direction.  Carlos Gonzalez picked up his 10th save with a scoreless 9thJuan Silva continues to be awesome.  He went 3 for 4 with a solo wanger.  Ryan Wright also had a solid day with 2 hits, a double, and a RBI in 4 at bats.  Mike Dennhardt will start tonight against Visalia at 6:00 pm PST.

Dayton found themselves in a Memorial Day barnburner against the Ft. Wayne TinCaps, but ended up on the frowny side of the scoreboard 14-9.  The offense was really good and was headlined by Jamodrick McGruder, again.  Jamodrick took 3 walks on the day, and also hit a RBI single.  He also stole a base, one of the 5 the Dragons had on the day.  Sebastian Elizalde had a RBI double, as did Sean BuckleySammy Diaz, Joe Hudson, and Carlton Daal all had multi hit games.  Nick Travieso had one of his worst starts as a professional.  He pitched 2.2 innings, giving up 8 earned runs, and 3 walks with no strikeouts.  Wah!  Joel Bender gave up 5 earned runs in 2.1 innings.  Wah!  Wah!  Daniel Wright takes the ball for an 11:05 am game in Ft. Wayne.
