Another day, another disappointment. The Reds departed in the early hours of the morning for the left coast, where they'll start a new series against the Dodgers. This seems like a really short turnaround for a west coast road trip, so let's hope the boys' learned from last night's debacle and will be eager to right the ship without an off day to mull over their missed chances.
Fortunately, the Reds have their stopper in Johnny Cueto on the hill. Cueto's coming off of his worst outing of the season, but his track record is still good enough that the Reds will be expecting big things from him this time around.
The Reds' lineup will face the lefthander Hyun-Jin Ryu, who gave up two runs in his last start against the Mets, striking out a season-high 9 batters. He's only faced the Reds once, where Chris Heisey and Jay Bruce were the only ones to get hits off of him. Heisey is in the lineup today, while Jay has the day off.
Go team! You're my favorite Reds!
