Alfredo Simon v. Tanner Roark

COMPLETE COVERAGE >

For some reason, Reds losses feel absolutely hopeless right now. Despite being on the road, and despite the injury troubles, the Reds are in strugglesville and it doesn't feel like there's a light at the end of this tunnel.

Fortunately, help is on the way. Mat Latos is making rehab starts, Joey will come back (allegedly), Jay will come back, Ludwick will come back. Hopefully, that'll be soon, but until then, this is what we've got. Let's keep our chins up and make the best of it.

Alfredo Simon takes the hill for the Reds to try and stop the bleeding. Simon pitched 7 2/3 shutout innings in his last start, and will need to be that good for the Reds battered lineup to have a shot tonight.

They'll face Tanner Roark, who didn't make it out of the 6th in his last start. He's never faced the Reds.

Go Reds! They're my favorite hospital ward!
