The season of the injury continues to roll along. Ken Rosenthal dropped this on us moments ago:
Sources: Votto did not make trip with #Reds, getting MRI on left knee. Stint on DL appears likely. Same knee that he had surgery on in 2012.

Joey Votto will likely join Mat Latos, Aroldis Chapman, Jay Bruce, Devin Mesoraco, Jonathan Broxton, and Sean Marshall as regulars missing significant time due to injury so far this season.
This would appear to give Neftali Soto a chance to take over full time duties at first base. The subsequent roster move could possibly bring back Donald Lutz, who is currently raking in AA. Or if a 60-day stint is necessary, Chris Nelson or Ruben Gotay could be brought up from Louisville. With the offense already struggling this season, this is just more salt in the Reds' collective wounds.
Update:
MRI shows no structural damage to Votto's knee, it's a quad injury. They'll meet tonight. NO DL move at this time #Reds
