Farmers Only: Mez Kills Woodchuck

They need to stop chuckin' his wood.

He's comin', brah.
He's comin', brah.

Louisville blanked the Norfolk Tides 4-0 with the rare complete bullpen shutout.  Jeff Francis was supposed to start the game for Louisville, but we all know he brought his lack of talents up river to Cincytown.  Curtis Partch (3 IP, 2BB, 3 K), Chad Rogers (3 IP, 3 H, 1B, 1 K), Ryan Dennick (1 IP, 0 H, 1 K), and Adam Russell (2 IP, 1 H, 2 K) all pitched and contributed to that shutout.  Jason Bourgeois, Thomas Neal, and Felix Perez all had 2 hits.  The Pride of Puxatony, Devin Mesoraco, only had one hit.  However, that one hit was big when he woodchucked some weak ass woodchuck that Josh Stinson loved to woodchuck Hell.  Louisville will play tonight at 7:05 in Norfolk with Josh Smith on the mound.

Pensacola got burnt by the Jacksonville Suns last night, losing by a score of 11-0, because the first two pitchers in the game were terrible.  Daniel Corcino continued to show how you shouldn't pitch.  It is a good thing Walt wasn't dumb enough to call to him as the 26th man.  Corcino lasted only 1.2 innings, giving up 4 H, 6 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, and 2 K.  He certainly wasn't helped out by the defense, but that is a very shitty night.  Timothy Aldeman came in to try and pick up the pieces and noped his way right out of this one.  He left with a 3.1, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, and 3K line.  Booooooooo.  Hisssssssssss.  Pensacola had 3 hits on the night.  Jacksonville has a Silverio of their own, by the way.  His name is Alfredo, though, which is totes better.  Pensacola plays at 6:30 CST with Sir Bob Steve, esquire, on the mound.

Bakersfield didn't want to play, so they lost to Lancaster 10-1.  Long story short the pitching got whooped on and the bullpen was bad.  Starter James Allen lasted 2.1 innings giving up 6 ER and 2 dingers.  Juan Silva, Seth Mejias-Brean, and Beau Amaral all had 2 hits.  Amaral had two errors in the game.  Ryan Wright was 0 for 4 because Wick Terrell touches himself at night.  Bakersfield will give the ball to Drew Cisco at 7:05 PST.

Dayton decided to be all RAHR RAHR beating Lansing 5-4 on Thursday.  Amir Garrett was solid (5 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, and 3 K).  If I remember right, someone said of Twitter he retired the first nine batters or something like that.  The bullpen was meh.  Phil Ervin continues to show a little life after hitting his first wanger on Wednesday.  On Thursday, Uncle Phil went 1 for 3 with 3 runs scored and a walk.  That's decent.  Sebastian Elizalde hit his 5th Chuck Wagon of the season in the 6th.  It was a two run shot.  He also had another hit and a walk.  Send him to Bakersfield!  Tanner Rahier and Avain Rachal, which sound like they should be tween pop singers, both had 2 walks.  Dayton plays Lansing again tonight at 7:00 pm, and Travieso will look to go full Krampus.

My opinion on the Votto news?
